Age and content statement (18+)

IOL.im is a dating community reserved exclusively for adults (18 years of age or older). On sign-up every user states their date of birth and declares to be at least 18. Content published by users is visible only to registered members who are logged in: no member photo or video is visible to unregistered visitors.

Everyone appearing in the photos and videos published on IOL.im must be an adult and must consent. Whoever uploads content makes a mandatory declaration that they have the right to publish it and that all persons depicted are 18 or older and agree to the publication. Content depicting minors, non-consenting persons or recognisable persons without their consent is not allowed.

Since 13 October 2026 every photo and video uploaded by users is reviewed by a moderator before publication. Until it is approved, the content is not visible to other users. Content that does not comply with these rules or with the Community rules is rejected; in serious cases the account is closed and, where required by law, reported to the authorities.

IOL.im does not produce, distribute or sell adult content: there is no paid content, pay-per-view, download or file sharing. The only paid service is the community membership, which unlocks the site's features (messages, profile visibility, events). Photos and videos are published by the members themselves, on their own profiles, in order to meet other members.

Anyone can report content they believe to be illegal or against the rules by writing to abuse@iol.im or with the "Report" button in the app. People appearing in a content item can ask for its removal at the same address. Every report is reviewed by a person and, if substantiated, the content is removed. The full procedure, response times and the right of appeal are described on the Digital Services Act (DSA) page.

IOL.im is operated from the United Kingdom and is not a producer of sexually explicit content within the meaning of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 et seq.: content is user-generated, neither commissioned nor sold by the platform. The measures described on this page (access reserved for adults, uploader declaration, pre-publication review of every photo and video, reporting and removal) are the equivalent safeguards adopted by the platform.
